Job Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated, naturally curious, and strategic-minded Brand & Communications Intern to work closely with the regional Communications lead in developing and communicating Lendela’s regional brand identity, as well as establishing our Communications function. This is much more than a supporting role, and the right candidate will get an opportunity to contribute to the development and execution of strategic communications initiatives that will shape the brand identity, internal communications, stakeholder engagement, and reputation of a fast-growing fintech startup, across multiple markets in APAC.
The ideal candidate is eager to understand the strategic thinking behind brand communications and design, and should have an eye for detail, a natural affinity for recognisable, authentic branding, an appreciation for visual storytelling, and the desire to learn to think critically about how branding and communications influence business and marketing objectives in 2025.
This role is an excellent stepping stone for anyone interested in a career in corporate communications, PR, or brand design. If you’re looking to gain real-world experience in a high-growth fintech with a lean Communications function that punches above its weight, we’d love to hear from you.
This role is hybrid and based in Singapore.
What to expect
Assist in creating social media content, blog posts, and internal communication materials that align with Lendela’s brand identity.
Support the design and development of brand assets, including brand guides, communications materials, presentations, and social media visuals using tools in the Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Figma.
Help maintain consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all digital and print platforms by reviewing and refining communication materials.
Assist in preparing internal communications materials such as newsletters, content for employee engagement initiatives, and presentations.
Monitor media coverage, compile media lists, draft press materials, and assist in outreach efforts to enhance Lendela’s public relations efforts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to creative storytelling initiatives that communicate Lendela’s mission and brand values effectively.
What you'll need
We welcome candidates who are interested in learning the ropes of brand and corporate communications and who fit the bill—be they students, recent graduates, or professionals considering a career switch.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in communications, public relations, marketing, graphic design, visual communication, or a related field.
Excellent command of English (primarily) and Mandarin (a major plus). English-speaking applicants with a strong command of Mandarin will be prioritised.
A creative portfolio showcasing your knowledge and application of branding, visual and graphic design, copywriting, professional communications, or visual storytelling. This does not need to be professionally packaged. Applicants with a portfolio will be prioritised.
Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Figma, and Canva, among others.
Moderate understanding of brand identity, typography, colour theory, and layout principles.
A growth mindset, with a willingness to take on new challenges and receive mentorship.
High attention to detail and ability to work independently while supporting a team.
A professional and polished presence in both written and verbal communication.
A keen interest in fintech, financial services, or corporate communications and design is advantageous.
