This person is someone we can count on to...

Be detail-oriented and care not only how something is built, but how it feels to use. You have an eye for design and care when something looks a little off. Expertise in CSS & JS is essential.

Our web frontend stack is Tailwind & VueJS, and NodeJS power all our APIs. As a Frontend Web Developer, you should passionate about building scalable, user-centric web applications. There is scope to become full-stack if you desire, as there will be opportunity to work on across the whole suite of services.

Within 1 month, you'll be expected to...

• Directly contribute to our whole Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from design to deployment
  • Assist in developing and testing new features for our web platform, writing unit tests and documentation.
  • Collaborate with senior developers to understand the existing codebase and contribute to bug fixes
  • Participate in sprint planning, code reviews and learning best practices

Within 3 months, you'll be expected to...

• Take ownership of smaller features, from front-end implementation to UX, taking into account performance and security
• Learn and apply new technologies and frameworks as required by projects
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers and Senior Engineering Leads to translate requirements into technical solutions

Within 6 months, you'll be expected to...

• Champion best practices across the team 
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in our existing applications and suggesting solutions
• Own solution design and implementation of major new features

Requirements for this role

• Min 2 year work experience in a software development role, preferably in a startup. (Formal education is not required, but a relevant degree or bootcamp completion is a plus)
• Familiarity with at least one modern front-end framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and CSS.
• Strong fundamentals in web best practices including frontend performance, accessibility and security. 
• Understanding user focussed features like browser quirks, IA & SEO is a plus.
• Proven ability to deliver results, with a bias for action. 
• An eye for design and passion for good UX, with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent English written and verbal communication is a must
