This person is someone we can count on to...

.. be eager to take responsibility for defining the architecture and managing the entire mobile application lifecycle. The full ownership of major features from concept to production are also under your domain. 

We currently have one consumer-facing React Native App, with another in development (sharing very similar code bases, making it easier to maintain). 

You'll be working with our backend team to ensure the APIs you need are there, Product designers to create the best UX possible and QA to ensure the app works well. We like working with developers that value collaboration and sharing of ideas.

Within 1 month, you'll be expected to...

• Enhance existing features, writing performant and secure code in Typescript for the React Native (Expo) app
• Assist with testing new features for the mobile app, writing unit tests in Jest and documentation
• Participate in sprint planning & code reviews

Within 3 months, you'll be expected to...

• Take ownership of smaller features, sharing ideas with the Product Manager and Product Designer and contribute to the improvement of UX
• Assist with deployment of the app to the Apple App & Google Play stores

Within 6 months, you'll be expected to...

• Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality, stable, and performant cross-platform application using React Native and TypeScript
• Champion best practices across the team

Requirements for this role

• 4+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years focused on building and deploying production-ready applications using React Native. (Formal education is not required).
• Deep understanding of modern React Native & Javascript ecosystem, including hooks, functional components etc. 
• Strong fundamentals in coding best practices including performance, accessibility and security. Strong proficiency in Typescript.
• Proven ability to deliver results, with a bias for action.
• An eye for design and attention to detail is a bonus.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication is a must.
